How far along? 23 weeks 6 days – 6 months in!
Baby’s Size? A papaya. Around eight inches and over a pound.
Maternity clothes? I have been rocking some maternity jeans, shorts, maxis and thanks to my sister, received a slew of cute tops and dresses!
Stretch marks?: No, still lathering up with my oil and lotions.
Sleep: Still coming in at 6-7 hours. What happened to my 8-9 hr nights?! I am certainly tired enough, but my eyes pop open at 5:45am without fail.
Best moment this week: Once again, feeling the baby move wins. This week, Baby G has been rocking and rolling! Lots of movement, little nudges and Phil even felt a few!
Miss anything?: My energy. Holy zapped, Batman.
Movement: Yes! (See Best Moment). These could become redundant
Food cravings: Ummm, I ate watermelon, grapes and drank coconut water like it was my job this week. Oh, and ice cream. Still loving my evening sweet treat.
Anything making you queasy or sick: No, which I am so grateful for.
Gender: We will know in 17 weeks!
Symptoms: A little bit of lower back pain, otherwise doing great!
Happy or moody most of the time: Happy because one, everyone keeps telling me I am small for my weeks (this would make any pregnant lady elated), and because we were back to the nursery. We have made lots of progress!
Looking forward to: Meeting this little one. For some reason this week has me dreaming of what he/she will be, look like, do, what it will be like to have a baby, etc. Phil and I spent one night on the couch talking names and between that and the bumps/movement, I am getting really excited for September!!
Purchases: Nothing. Just more work on the registries. Well, we did buy some paint and hardware for the nursery, which is underway!
Workouts: A great week of workouts! Six this week plus an extra long walk with Henry on the seventh day – so lots of action this week. Granted, one was a 30 min DVD and another was yoga, but hey, I’m still counting them!
Thoughts/Feelings/Random Musings: I am so confused. Everyone speaks of the second trimester energy burst and to say I don’t have it would be an understatement. Every afternoon I get hit with a ton of bricks and spend at least an hour sitting/laying/napping. Like, I get so tired there is simply no other option, my body stops moving.
Once I have rested, I usually have another hour of productivity in me before I have to call it for the night. Man, oh man do I miss my energy. I guess baby making is a lot of work. Oomph.
