Baby Guster is 29weeks and six days and is about the size of a cauliflower.
Can we just talk about the fact that Monday marks the end of the 20s and I am officially in the 30 week phase of pregnancy?! Whoa!
Here’s what Baby Guster has been up to this week:
- At 29 weeks pregnant, baby weighs nearly three pounds now and measures about 17 inches.
- Though it is getting pretty close to birth length, it still has to chub out a bit. In fact, over the next 11 weeks, it will more than double — or even come close to tripling — its weight.
And here’s what’s been happening with me this past week:
Maternity Clothes: I grabbed a few tanks from Pea in the Pod and they are life changing. Believe me, these are going in my second trimester favorites. I am pretty sure they will be sticking around post pregnancy since they don’t have side rouching and are silky soft.
Workouts: Not too shabby. Got in four this week (run, DVD, yoga/pilates class, cardio circuit and some walks with Mr. H).
Stretch marks? No, hallelujah! I am still hanging in there!
Symptoms: I did have some cramping this week, but nothing I haven’t felt since puberty. They lasted for one afternoon.
Sleep: Not too shabby. I’m still clocking in seven hours of uninterrupted sleep.
Movement: Oh my gosh this kid is an acrobat! It never stops! And some of the movements are getting so strong that they make me jump. While there are still flutters, rolls and pushing, now I am getting actual jabs.
Best Moment this Week: Hands down my baby shower last Saturday. It was such a beautiful party and I was overwhelmed by the outpouring from my friends and family – not to mention my sister who did an amazing job hosting!
Food Cravings: Not that I can think of. In fact, food has been low priority this week. I actually lost my appetite in the beginning of the week and had to force myself to have three meals since my body wasn’t naturally telling me to eat. But I know the kiddo needs nutrients.
Miss Anything? No, I am actually loving pregnancy at the moment. The belly has popped, I feel pregnant (not just frumpy), no issues with pain so I am a-ok.
Belly Button In or Out? In unless the kid is sitting low and then it pushes out. Ha.
Happy or Moody Most of the Time: Happy
New Baby Items: LOTS! We were so blessed at our shower and more gifts keep arriving from the ladies who were unable to attend. My living room is filled with gifts that we need to organize this week.
Looking Forward To: A quiet weekend with Phil and the bump. We are working on the nursery closet next and then we can start to decorate and fill the room.
Random Thoughts and Musings: I really wish I could see what the heck this kid was doing in there! Honestly, the amount of movement is almost startling, I didn’t think they were this active until the final stretch. I wish I knew what was going on, are you stretching, turning, playing? I cannot wait to meet this little one!!
