Did you all have a great weekend? I sure as heck did! And it all started on Friday with National Donut Day.
Henry had an appointment at the vet and just guess what is right across the street…Dunkin Donuts. I scored the iced coffee and kept the donut for Phil (his favorite kind). I know, I am such a sweet wife 😉 I sent him a picture to show him what was waiting for him once he got home.
The rest of Friday was spent prepping for the bachelor party that Phil was throwing on Saturday. As you remember, I was cooking away Friday morning. I also made the guys my family’s famous breakfast egg dish to enjoy Sunday morning.
Saturday started with an amazing run. I finished with the feeling of, “I needed that!” Do you ever have those runs that seem to melt away your stress and leave you feeling energized? That run felt so good.
I ran home to get ready before my best friend Katie came over for a ‘Day of Fun!’ (name that show).
First up, picking up her wedding dress!
We spent the rest of the day running errands, going out to lunch, getting ready for the wedding next weekend and chatting the afternoon away.
For dinner we met up with some of our other girlfriends before heading over to Rachel’s house for a birthday bonfire.

Despite it being a weekend day, I was still up at 6am. Ugh. My body (ok, baby) is on one heck of a clock! I used the extra time to sneak in a few more episodes of OITNB.
I am trying my best not to binge watch!
Katie spent the night so I was able to spend some more time with her when she got up a few hours later. We drank coffee and worked on some wedding details. It was so nice to have a full day with her, especially since Sunday was Best Friend Day! Who knew?!
Phil came home from the bachelor party around noon and we spent the rest of the day working around the house. And speaking of the house, here is the latest shot of Baby G’s room!
We picked out Swimming from Pottery Barn for the top half of the room. Phil pulled the old ledge off of the wains coating and we replaced it with a smaller cap.
After a fresh coat of paint on the ceiling, closet and wains coating it feels like a new room just perfect place for Baby G.
And with that, I am off to my six month check up appointment! Wow, I can hardly believe how fast this pregnancy is going. You can check out my latest update here.
Catch you gators later!
Are you excited for Orange is the New Black to be back? How many episodes have you watched?
Did you see your best friend yesterday?
What was the highlight of your weekend?
