We are officially in fall, which means we’re in the pumpkin craze! Pumpkin seems to be incorporated into everything and anything these days, from coffee to ice cream to cereal, you can’t go far without seeing the latest seasonal item at the grocery store or coffee shop.
One of my favorite places to shop is Trader Joe’s. Their produce is delicious, the stores are small and clean, and they always have the best fun items to snag. While their standard items are fantastic, they’re well known for their seasonal items.
I’m sharing some of my favorite fall-themed Trader Joe’s products today. There are some new-to-me items this year and of course, old favorites. Be sure to share your favorites in the comments below!
Pumpkin Pie Spice Cookie Butter
The cult favorite has a new look this fall. With the spicy addition of pumpkin pie flavor, the cookie butter is the perfect addition to toast, pancakes and waffles or just by the spoonful. I also love this as a dip for apples!
Pumpkin Pancake Mix
Speaking of pancakes, TJ’s whipped up a pumpkin version of their mix. I actually really love this mix and find it is the perfect spice to contrast sweet syrup. The mix is similar to adding cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice to a standard mix, but this one has the perfect amounts packaged and ready to go.
Pumpkin bagels are the least in-your-face pumpkin flavor of all the products offered at TJs. Personally, they’re just ok in my book. But there is a pumpkin cream cheese that you can add if you’re looking to get really fall-crazy.
Pumpkin Cranberry Crisps
Talk about getting crazy – these crisps are a bit out there, but totally work. The flavors are sweet with a hint of salt, crispy yet chewy. I love to pair the crackers with a cheese board for girl’s night or crumble a few on a salad. If you try one thing – grab a bag or two of pita crisps!
Trader Joe’s has its own line of cereals, several that are similar to mainstays (Cheerios and Rice Crispies). And there fall breakfast cereal is none other than Pumpkin O’s. Like other brands that are hitting the market with this flavor for your breakfast bowl, TJ’s has made their version for a few years and they are so good. While I am not a big cereal person, these are an exception. They’re also perfect for snacking with a few nuts and dried cranberries!
Beware, this coffee is packed with pumpkin spice. If you are a PSL fan, this is your go-to. I find the drink to be a bit overwhelming, so the pumpkin flavored coffees can be too much for me. My preference is to brew a cup (or pod) and add almond milk for an at-home version of a PSL!
Organic Canned Pumpkin
For me, there is no better fall product than a can of pumpkin. You can do so much with this bad boy from cookies to oatmeal, or even making your own PSL. Be sure to look for organic and ensure there are no additional ingredients. Grab a few cans and jump on Pinterest for inspiration. Pumpkin cheesecake, anyone?!
I first tried TJ’s salted caramels during the holidays and instantly fell in love. So it was no surprise that I grabbed a box of the pumpkin version and am just as smitten. Perfectly balanced with sweet and salty, the caramels are soft and literally melt in your mouth. Because the dark chocolate is rich, I find one square is the perfect treat to the end of the day.
There are dozens of pumpkin products at Trader Joe’s this year. A few that made my not-so-great list include the pumpkin spaghetti sauce and pita chips (the crisps are where it is at!).
Literally, everything has a pumpkin spin on it at Trader Joe’s. It is amazing the number of products that have been added just this year alone.
OK, you tell me, what are your favorite pumpkin products?
What is something I need to try?
