I hope you all had a good week and are excited for the weekend. We are looking at a very different one than last; lots on the calendar from parties to visitors to a fitness event, it will be busy!
Do you remember a few FF back when I showed a picture of this amazing Spring outfit? Well, I was so in love with the floral cardigan that I hunted it down and found it at non other than Target. Of course! I did some shopping two weeks ago and wanted to share the goodies that I found.
When it comes to clothes, I like to have staple pieces that are the ‘structure’ to my wardrobe and then add in items with a trend or season. For example, you will always find a few pair of great fitting jeans, black pumps, cute but casual tees and hoop earrings. These are some of my staple pieces. Then I go shopping! I will share with you what I found and how I would style these pieces for the Spring (and other seasons, too!). Lets jump in!
Floral Cardigan If there is one thing I know for sure, it is that the cardigan is the perfect item to have in your closet once you graduate college. You can throw it on with a tank top and jeans or over a dress and suddenly you are pulled together. When I first started working I lived by cardigans – hello air conditioning. This floral cardigan is so perfect for Spring. Pair it with mint jeans, regular jeans, black work pants or over any solid dress to change up the look. Want to get crazy? Put it over some stripes or polka-dots. Fashionista!
Embellished Sandals These are everywhere! If you read any magazine you have seen versions of these sandals going for a couple hundred. While I do love a good pair of shoes, these sandals are great quality and give the same look for a fraction of the price! Pair these with a cute skirt and casual tee, shorts with a denim button up or just a pair of jeans and white shirt. Let the shoes do the talking.
Romper A new-to-me item but I am already in love. I have seen some of my friends wear these, however I am not one to jump on trends. The romper has been around for a few years now and I see why. A romper is the new sundress; aka, throw on and go. Find one that has a print (nothing too crazy like the one shown here) and toss on a jean jacket. Done.
Lace Top Spring means soft details and lace is always a winner. Finding a top that is casual but pulled together always reigns, so this top had to come home with me. Paired with a girly skirt or jeans (colored would be perfect with this top) you will be ready for a Saturday shopping trip with the girls.
Tassel Necklace Of course the trip would not be complete without an accessory. The tassel necklace is a fun new twist on long necklaces that have bee reigning supreme for years. This year fringe is everywhere and as someone who isn’t super trendy, I like that this necklace gives the same vibe. You can pair this with any of the pieces shown here or – my personal favorite- with a stripped button up shirt tucked into white jeans and a nude pump. Classic with a modern twist.
Up next, neon!
This post is not sponsored in any way. I am simply sharing my favorites with all of you for the fun of it!
