Morning friends, how are you today? I am feeling so excited for the upcoming holiday weekend and long break we will be enjoying up north with my entire family as we have done for the last few years. It is so much fun to be with my family as we are close and with the kiddos running around all around the same age, it is going to be a busy, entertaining, memorable week for sure.
Though I am ready to head out the door (just a few more hours, but who’s counting?) let’s talk about a few favorites from the week!
You may have noticed I am all about that fresh fruit lately! It is hard to deny a piece of fruit when it is fresh, ripe and in season – in my book there is nothing better! Peaches seemed extra delicious this week and we all dug into the box I snagged at TJs. Just wait, next week I will be professing my love for cherries after my week up north!
While I am not always about make-up, one item that was missing from my daily look was a more defined lip. I have a soft contrast between my lips and skin, so it often feels as though my lip color is a bit unruly. I was on the hunt for a subtle color that would look natural while giving a bit of a parameter to my lip. The consultant at Sephora directed me to Bite because the line includes a variety of colors and shades, perfect to find your exact match. I went with #6, a soft peachy pink that is perfect for my skin tone. I have used the pencil every day and am addicted to the look!
There are some things that seem to be required when you are a girl – owning a curling iron seems to be one of them. I had a Conair that collected dust in my bathroom closet for years before my big clean out when I was pregnant with Mitch. A few weeks ago I wanted to curl my hair and after some research, landed on the T3 styling wand. The company has an entire line of products including options to buy a base with interchangeable wands with different sized barrels. So far I am loving the wand: it heats up quickly, maintains a consistent temperature and creates perfect curls. While I do curl my hair from time to time, I also love it to add definition to my hair when I let it air dry. Perfect beachy waves.
Is there anything better than a soft, comfy tee? I stopped into Madewell and instantly fell in love with their whisper tees. They are at an awesome price point, come in a variety of colors and are super easy to toss on with jeans, shorts or jeans and be out the door. I love the stripe version for the Fourth of July, too!
OK, that wraps it up on my end! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.
