Well hello, friends and happy Friday to you!
It is so nice to find time to slip away this week and check in. With work events on the calendar for both Phil and myself, which left our days short but the week long. My blogging time is typically once Mitch goes to bed, however, I was either out, or simply exhausted every night this week. But there were some great moments, so I am sharing the highlights from the week!
Signs of Spring
Is there anything better than watching the flowers bloom and the earth explode with color? I saw signs of spring all over the city this week and snapped this picture on my walk to a meeting. Despite the hectic week, there are certainly beautiful moments all around us.
Date Night with Mitch
Phil had a work event on Wednesday, so Mitch and I enjoyed a date night together. We started with a delicious green smoothie for a snack and then made our way to the park. I remember taking Mitch to this exact park last year and he was so little he couldn’t even crawl at the time. My how things have changed.
My office is just off the center of the city, and there is always activity and fun events taking place year round. Another sure sign of spring is the return of the food trucks! Every day a few come into the city and bring out hundreds and thousands of people to enjoy their food. And let me tell you, they do not mess around! Yum!
I picked up this bar at the store over the weekend and was pleasantly surprised at the chewy texture and delicious flavor. There are a few flavors, but I went with the coconut, which I really liked. Has anyone tried the other flavors?
If you have been around here much, you know I love coffee. During the week, I swung into The Roasting Plant and snapped a picture of their awesome creamer station. The handles and functionality are exactly like you find for beer at a restaurant. I love the creative feel of the coffee shop and small touches – not to mention their delciious coffee!
OK, no great pictures to share here as workouts have been taking place at 5 am, but they are happening! It feels good to be back in the habit of my morning exercise. There really is no better start to the day.
And with that, it is time to run!
What was a highlight from your week?
What are you looking forward to this weekend?
