Well, it’s safe to say our vacation curse is over. While we’re still on vacation in Hilton Head for a few more days, I wanted to share parts of our amazing trip because it is truly amazing.
We departed Friday afternoon and had a quick flight down south landing us in sunny South Carolina with plenty of day left to enjoy. With temperatures in the low seventies, the convertible was put to good use as we cruised around the island feeling relaxed and blessed.
We visited Hilton Head a few years ago and immediately fell in love with the island. Sandwiched between Charlestown and Savannah, the vibe is perfectly charming and quaint.
After the short drive from Savannah, we arrived at Sea Pines Inn and were immediately thrilled with our selection. With a champagne toast, we were shown the property and room which is spacious and stunning. (Any room with a Nespresso and huge bathroom with a tub has my heart.)
The next morning we explored the property a bit and stumbled upon an amazing little market. The food is all local or made in shop. We dug into eggs and fresh bread paired with a made-to-order green juice.
The market was so adorable that we ended up spending the next hour shopping and grabbing a few goods!
Once we were fueled, we borrowed two bikes from the Inn and took off for a ride. When we visited years ago, we stayed at another resort, but visited Sea Pines for the iconic light house, shops and bakery at the point. And that was our first stop!
The day was spent wandering, shopping and snacking our way around the island.
Eager to dine at one of the great restaurants on site, we headed back to our room to clean up for dinner.
In true fashion, we rounded out the date with ice cream!
It was a perfect start to our vacation.
More to come tomorrow!
