Wow, where in the world did April run off to? Can you believe we are looking at the long holiday weekend ahead! What are you guys planning? Any fun trips or adventures?
Memorial day always signals the start of summer for me; the weather is finally warming up and the long weekend makes for the perfect time to enjoy the sweet days of summer. Before the month comes to an end, I am sharing my favorite finds from the month.Be sure to share some of your recent finds or long time favorites below in the comments!
My latest obsession is none other than a grocery store – go figure. But with a standing weekly trip that is for the hot and cold bar and iced almond milk lattes, this store offers more than your weekly shop. While I do love Whole Foods, Plum Market’s fresh bar rivals it in size, taste and overall quality. With twice as many options, fresh dishes that are found behind glass at WF, Plum serves up for you to enjoy as you like. And they only carry the local (and famous) Zingermann’s bread and baked goods. And if you’ve ever been lucky enough to visit Zingermann’s, you know what a selling point this is!
The transition to Spring is finally happening here in Michigan! I always find my mind and reality are never quite on the same wave length though and always underdress this time of year. (Wishful thinking!) When the temperatures hover in the 60s, I like to wear lightweight sweaters that are breathable but offer enough coverage and warmth. I have several, but recently picked up this sweater in black and wore it on my travels. It was perfect for the plane – does anyone else freeze on airplanes?!
Lumi Cushion Foundation
I mentioned this new foundation in my Spring Beauty post (last day for the giveaway!!) and am obsessed. The product is easy to use, goes on so smooth and leaves your skin soft and actually looking like skin. One reason I love this product is because it is super forgiving. While there are easy to select color tones based on your skin tone, the foundation applies easily and blends with your skin. Run and grab this goodie!
Bitsy’s Brainfood Snacks
First spotted on Courtney’s blog, I was intrigued by the ingredients and love how the cookies are in the shape of letters. Filled with fruits and veggies, Bitsy’s is all about showing kids that “learning to eat smart can be fun!” Two moms set out on a mission to make healthy choices easy for everyone by eliminating the struggle for “good” food that is good for you. Mitch loves the cookies. We give him a few and practice his letters. Who knew, learning can be fun and delicious!
Gap has a secret – their Gap Fit line is adorable, comfortable and affordable. I am obsessed with their workout line from capris to tops to shorts, I have a slew of items, but this long sleeve may take the cake. With just enough stretch, the shirt slightly hugs you but offers long lenghts in the body and arms for extra comfort and coverage. The material is buttery soft and comes in several gorgeous colors. I own two and am thinking of scooping up a few more. I wear them over tanks to the gym or on a casual day out running errands. Bonus points for thumb holes!
OK, your turn, what are you loving?!
