Good morning, I hope you are all well today. We are half-way through the week and officially into summer! Whoo hoo!
While summer is officially here, my body seems to be confused. I was hit with a wicked case of the flu over the weekend that started to subside early in the week to then turn into a cold. Go figure. I have a resilient immune system, but this year has been a new ball game – chalking it up to kiddos and germs.
I was fortunate to work from home on Tuesday and spent the majority of the day with my laptop in bed and the rest sleeping. When the afternoon rolled around and my stomach finally started to rumble, I figured some fresh air and food would make me feel better.
Mitch and I headed out to run errands and popped int Nordstrom’s cafe for a snack. We shared a pineapple carrot muffin that was incredibly delicious and apparently came from one of the top bakeries in town. I had no idea that Nordstrom’s worked with local shops to stock their cafes – so cool! We also shared a crisp granny smith apple and I sipped an Emergenc-E. It was my first time trying one and the drink was quite delicious.
Did you guys hear that Elon Musk’s brother Kimbal is planning to open a healthy fast-food chain with everything on the menu under $5. I love this idea of making fresh food affordable and available on-the-go.
After our snack, we met up with Phil and Henry. Henry was not feeling well over the last few days, so we took him to the vet for a check up. Apparently he has a pinched nerve in his neck. We were so glad we took him and that is all that is wrong (Henry is almost nine years old, so we were bracing for worse news).
He was treated to a trip to the pet store for some goods. And of course, our helper was right in there the entire time.
The night wrapped early with everyone taking their medications and heading to bed for a good night’s sleep.
Would you eat at a healthy fast-food restaurant? What would be your ideal order?
