Baby Guster is 35 weeks and six days and the size of a coconut.
Getting so close!!! Less than 5 weeks to go! Crazy. (Or at least here is hoping this kid doesn’t hang out for too long!)
I am doing well over here. No major complaints, just minor things.
I am now going to the doctors for weekly check ups. I have my next one on Friday for my Group B streptoccus (GBS) test. Fun times. Overall these visits are just the doctors checking in on my weight, blood pressure, belly growth, and baby’s heart beat. And of course asking how I am doing and if I am having any issues.
This week I visited a few pediatricians to find one and an office that we like. It sure is stressful that you cannot schedule appointments until the baby is born. For this planner, that is like the worst thing you could tell me.
Here’s what Baby Guster has been up to this week:
- Baby is continuing to pack on the pounds but won’t get much longer. At this point it is all about adding fat for the big debut.
- Baby’s brain is also going a mile a minute! Lots of brain development at this stage, however, the skull is still soft for delivery purposes. (Thank goodness!)
Days until due date: 31 (fingers crossed)
Number of OB appointments left: 4 (one per week)
Nesting or resting? Nesting. The room is organized, I have been washing all of the kitchen/nursing items and am getting ready for the great meal freeze-off of 2014.
Ravenous or Nauseous? A little of both. I definitely need to pace myself with the amount of food I eat at one sitting. I have been eating smaller, more frequent meals this week. When I eat too much (and by that I mean a full sandwich, which is a normal amount of food) I can actually get really nauseous.
Shopping or saving? Saving thanks to my sister! She hooked me up with some goodies from her daughter this week. She was also the one that gave me some maternity items.
Calm or cranky? Neither – anxious! Lets get this party started!!!
Baby names: Oh boy, another name came back into the running for boys. Up to four and four for girl. We really hope to be down to three. This is hard business.
Workouts: Same as last week – averaging four days a week. I have definitely been slowing down on the activity front and adding in an extra walk a week.
Stretch marks? Nope and no real line either.
Symptoms: Same as last week. A little back pain with this growing belly, but it is more of an uncomfortable feeling than an ache.
Sleep: A few restless nights, but otherwise a well rested momma-to-be. Feeling so lucky that I’m still clocking in 6.5-8 hours of sleep a night.
Random Thoughts and Musings: I am so anxious to find out the sex of this baby that I have resorted to old wives tales, tests and any other indicator that could potentially tell me what I am having. Funny thing is, half say boy, half say girl. OK, it is not so funny for this girl who is Mrs. Impatient. Remind me again why I decided it would be a good idea to wait?! Ahhhh!
