Baby Guster is 38 weeks and six days and the size of a pumpkin (how appropriate!).
Here’s what Baby Guster has been up to this week:
- Coming in at 18.9-20 inches in length and 6-8 lbs, this little one is ready to make an appearance!
Days until due date: 10 days!
Number of OB appointments left: 1 (one per week). I had an appointment on Thursday and all is well. The doctor felt the babies head (it was a very up close and personal appointment) and told me I have started to dilate and am already 60% effaced. All good news!!
Nesting or resting? The nesting has pretty much ended (the to-do list is at 99%) so I have been resting. On Tuesday I never left my pjs. Enjoying some quiet down time while I can. At this point it is just a waiting game, we are ready!
Ravenous or Nauseous? I eat every couple of hours, but small meals. No real interest in food – just a means to an end.
Shopping or saving? Back to saving.
Calm or cranky? Calm until the symptoms set in (see below). Then a bit of panic, fear and yes, some crankiness when it doesn’t subside or the pain gets to be overwhelming.
Baby names: We have our names!!!!
Workouts: Same as last week:
Still doing 2-3 days of weights/toning, 2 days of cardio and trying to stay active in between.
Stretch marks? Nope and no real line either.
Symptoms: Still having Braxon Hicks, charlie horses and some back pain. Hanging in there, though.
Sleep: Sleeping like a log. More than ever, actually. No more naps, just long nights of sleeping (minus the one or two trips to the restroom).
Random Thoughts and Musings:
Ok, so I know I have ‘”two weeks” but honestly, I am not hanging my hat on September 30th. The more reading I do on due dates and the percent of babies that arrive on their predicted date (only 5%!) has me learning to let it go. This baby will come when it does (believe me easier said than done), but at this point there isn’t much I can do.
So, until the day, I’m trying to relax, prep and enjoy some time with my friends, family and doing the things I love. Best I learn now that things are about to be out of my control, right?! Haha.
