Baby Guster is 39 weeks and five days and the size of a small watermelon.
Here’s what Baby Guster has been up to this week:
Baby Guster continues to build a layer of fat to help control his body temperature after birth, but it’s likely it already measures about 20 inches and weighs a bit over 7 pounds. (Boys tend to be slightly heavier than girls.)
The outer layers of its skin are sloughing off as new skin forms underneath.
Days until due date: 3!!!!!!!!!
Number of OB appointments left: NONE! I do have one that is post due date just incase someone is still hanging out. But I had my last one on Thursday.
Nesting or resting? The nesting has pretty much ended (the to-do list is at 99%) so I have been resting. On Tuesday I never left my pjs. Enjoying some quiet down time while I can. At this point it is just a waiting game, we are ready!
Ravenous or Nauseous? Neither. No appetite. I think this is a mix of exhaustion and anxiety.
Shopping or saving? Back to saving.
Calm or cranky? Calm until the symptoms set in (see below). Then a bit of panic, fear and yes, some crankiness when it doesn’t subside or the pain gets to be overwhelming.
Baby names: We have our names narrowed down to two for each gender.
Workouts: Same as last week:
Still doing 2-3 days of weights/toning, 2 days of cardio and trying to stay active in between with walks and such.
Stretch marks? Nope and no real line either.
Symptoms: This week was all about false labor. Twice. Things are getting real.
Sleep: Sleep is ok. Some restless nights and naps don’t seem to be an option any longer thanks to difficulty finding a comfortable position.
Random Thoughts and Musings: ummm, when is this kid coming?! Hahaha.
