September passed by in a flash. With a mix of a packed social calendar, the countdown to little one and summer-like temperatures the month felt more like a week. And certainly not a month including the first day of fall. My October calendar has the apple orchard and pumpkin picking marked on days we’re predicted to be in the 80s. The weather is really messing with my sense of time, and is also going to make my September favorites look a little different!
I am feeling ready for boots, scarves, cozy sweaters and pumpkin spice everything. Bring it on!
With that, let’s jump into my favorites from the month. As always, be sure to share your favorites in the comments down below!
While nude heels and white pants may get packed away for some, with this weather, I cannot help but break the rules. Plus, finding the perfect nude heel is not as easy at it may seem. I look for comfort, height, shape and finish. These Ann Taylor heels are fantastic and check all of the boxes. Plus, they’re on sale! I wear the heels with everything (yes, even at 34 weeks pregnant). And hey, why not get a jump start on your wardrobe for next year when they’re 40% off? Nude heels are a staple.
A good lip gloss that doesn’t leave your lips sticky is always a winner in my book. Earlier this month I was on the hunt for a berry shade of lipstick and spotted this perfect shade in a gloss, which fit the bill for moving into the Fall months but kept the look light. What I love about the Buxom glosses is how easy they are to apply and wear – a little sheer but also a good hint of color.
I’ve been a long time fan of Fabletics (I actually started my subscription to the fitness apparel line right before I found out I was pregnant with Mitch!), but this latest Fall collection is amazing. A box filled with goodies to keep me moving and encourage a healthy lifestyle arrived earlier this month and I could not be more in love with the pieces. From the purples and pinks to the florals, fit and styles, the gear is so, so good. I’ve worn a few pieces (I love this top and pullover and live in this sports bra) but am looking forward to wearing all gorgeous outfits soon!
Ah, all the Greek food this month! I had a craving for a huge plate of Greek dishes; hummus, tabuhli, pita, cucumber salad….yum! We swung by a local shop one night and scooped up all of the ingredients to make a feast for a crowd – and it hit the spot. Infact, I loved it so much that we’ve had several similar dinners through the month and hosted my best friend’s birthday party with the same menu.
The 90 degree days aren’t always great for a pregnant woman, however, when you get to enjoy them on the water that is a different story!
OK, your turn! Tell me something you are loving this month.
What are you looking forward to in October?
Have a great weekend!
