Round two of the bikini series has kicked off, and we are already into week two. I should mention that the BS is not about weight loss or suggesting you need to look a certain way. Rather, the BS encourages positive energy, pushing your limits and trying new foods, exercises and adventures. It’s such a fun program and love that the Tone It Up girls decided to do the program a second time.
Yesterday started with a tart grapefruit, two hard boiled eggs and a slice of Ezikiel toast with smashed avocado and hot sauce. Something about this combination hits all of my taste buds and leaves me satisfied. (The cup of coffee was stuck to my left hand -girls night last night- so it did not make the picture.)
I actually saved the green juice and drank it later while Mitch was napping and I was working around 10am.
When Mitch woke at 11am, he fed and then we played for a bit before heading out for a walk. I was more than ready for lunch once he went down for nap number two at 1pm.
I must apologize for the recycled photo, but I was starving and ate my salad before the thought of snapping a photo even crossed my mind. However, my lunch was a repeat of my favorite salad from the bikini series, the Root Down, Apple Up Salad. My favorite part is the sweet and tangy dressing that ties all of the ingredients together.
Throughout the afternoon I had an iced coffee (<–Panera has some delicious iced coffee!), half of a Larabar (I stopped half way when I realized I really wasn’t hungry) and a few powerberries. These things are my new go-to when I want a bite of something sweet. Just a few and I’m good to go.
Dinner was a ginger agave glazed salmon with fresh green beans. Phil is not big on salmon, but it is one of my favorite sea foods. I’ve been trying different seasoning and marinades and this one was very good.
After dinner I ate the rest of my Larabar and sipped on tea. The day ended early after a late one the night before and knowing that today is packed. And with that I am off and running to a meeting! Have a great one.
