Hey guys! Happy Friday, Labor Day weekend and September 1! Phew. I’ve been counting down the days to the weekend – this week was busy and I’m ready for time with friends and family. We have a few fun activities on the agenda but also plan to soak up the last days of summer.
But before the weekend, I thought I’d share a look into the week with highlights from my Instagram story. Here we go!
Wednesday morning started with an awesome workout. I recently downloaded the Peloton app and am obsessed. Spin has been one of my favorite workouts for years. The downfall can be timing of classes when you add in the mix a full time job and a toddler. The app has solved that with live classes that you can join or watch a prerecord class.
I simply jump on my bike, lock in and go!
The classes vary in length and format, so it’s easy to find what you’re looking for. I’m also obsessed with the instructors – they’re super motivating, yet keep it light.
Once my class was done, I headed home for a shower and breakfast. It will come as no surprise that I whipped up my favorite smoothie!
Don’t mind the cup. I hate to toss my passion iced tea cups, so I usually add a smoothie into the cup and can then recycle with a better feeling of one extra use. I sipped my smoothie on the way to work. The day passed by per usual (meetings, work and more meetings) before I headed out for the day.
Mitch is graduating from his class at school, so we wanted to send a special treat as a thank you to his teachers. It came as no surprise that his request included sprinkles. This kid will do anything for sprinkles and chocolate. We both geared up in our aprons (he’s obsessed and asks to wear it all day long) and whipped up cupcakes.
Mitch loves to help out in the kitchen and I’m all about him learning about food, measurements and patience. Believe me, 24 minutes of bake time is a lifetime to a toddler.
Also, please notice the long sleeve top and jeans – what? The nights are cooling down to the 50s, which feels amazing but also causes me to change outfits appropriately four times a day. I remember being so warm with Mitch during my first pregnancy and am experiencing the same hot flashes with this pregnancy.
Speaking of September and pregnancy, look what I updated.
We have a family calendar that’s updated three months at a time. This week November went up, which included some very important days! I can’t believe we’re two months from meeting this little one. It seems close and far all at once.
And that was Wednesday in a nutshell!
What are your plans for the weekend? What is the weather like where you live?
