I have to say, I am loving this week. After letting the cat out of the bag on Monday and twelve hours of sleep, I was rocking and rolling on Tuesday.
My morning started with some work in bed with a side of water and iced coffee. Pregnancy makes me thirsty like you wouldn’t believe, but a girl still wants her coffee. I keep it to the allotted amount per my doctor. The strange part? I am lucky to make it through that much. Yes, the girl who used to order grandes and ventis just said a tall can be too much.
Breakfast included scrambled eggs and a sliced orange. Fruit is my world.
I ate my breakfast after saying goodbye to my sister and niece who headed back to Chicago for a few days.
The afternoon was a busy one. Around 1:30pm I stopped to throw together a salad for lunch. In the mix went spring mix, shredded brussel sprouts, pecans, raspberries, onions, peppers and topped with a sprinkle of feta.
In the afternoon, I reached for my new favorite snack, KIND Madagascar Vanilla Almond bar is bananas. I love the deep vanilla flavor of this bar. It is also nice because it is slightly sweet, but nothing overboard.
Some time between the KIND bar and dinner I snacked on a boat load of grapes and a La Croix. Let me tell you, fruit and sparkling water are a pregnant lady’s best friend. While I get in plenty of H2O straight up, I easily get bored. So I love adding in a little twist to keep it exciting.
For dinner, I had two Phils to feed (my husband and brother-in-law are both named Phil), so I snagged some chicken sausage and sides from Trader Joes. I figured I score points with my brat-like dinner, but I’d still be able to partake thanks to the clean ingredients.
Dinner was enjoyed sans bun with the addition of a side salad that went unpictured.
But don’t worry, I left room for a little treat from the Easter Bunny. Damn those Cadburry Eggs.
What is your favorite fake out meal?
